HISTORY- Who we are:
I am one of fifteen children that grew up on a large livestock farm. Growing up we never really had nice bicycles and rightly so because they wouldn’t last long out on the farm. On one occasion my mother bought me a bike for my birthday, and I road that 3 speed bike around our dirt circle drive over 100 times without stopping. I had visions of being an Olympic cyclist at the age of ten. After that cycling took a back seat until my wife and I started cycling as a hobby in 1996. My sister-in-law requested I join her in a two-day 120 mile charity ride. After riding that ride for the American Lung Association our cycling addiction began. My wife, Tanya, and I have ridden in numerous cycling events and have logged over 55,000 combined miles. We enjoy riding tandem and singles; road and mountain bikes. We have acquired a rather large collection of t-shirts, patches, cue sheets, bikes, and spare parts but were lacking one thing. We wanted an online scrapbook if you would of our cycling history. My Global Biking began as just a thought while on an afternoon ride. With the help of my nephew, Greg, it became reality. Tanya and I would love for you to join us in biking the globe…One Road At a Time.
